BGR is reporting that Apple will announce the next-generation iPhone in August. And, it's claimed, it will be a major design overhaul.
The website quotes a source saying the case will be a redesign. It says the announcement could be in the beginning or middle of August, with shipping as early as late August.
We're presuming any iPhone 5 will ship with the new iOS5 software and Apple has said that won't be released until autumn.
So, it's all a bit confusing. Couple this with reports of an iPhone 4S later this year - basically an iPhone 4 with more powerful insides - and it seems Apple might...just might...unleash two new models.
