Pope Tweets On iPad To Promote New Vatican News-Site

Twitter really is now part of The Establishment. The Pope has sent his first tweet...from an iPad.

Eighty-four-year-old Pope Benedict XV1 tweeted to promote a new Vatican website:

"Dear Friends, I just launched www.news.va. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI".

It's not the Vatican's first foray into social media: it's launched a Facebook page and a YouTube channel in recent months.
