It seems the iPhone 3GS is about to go the way of its predecessors - unavailable and unsupported.
Reports say the 3GS is now in short supply at stockists, indicating Apple is about to pull the plug on the device with a new-generation iPhone expected to be announced soon.
The 3GS was launched just over two years ago ad a speedier version of the 3G.
If things go to form, stocks will completely dry up soon, and software updates will stop in about a year.
Hey, three years is a long life for a smartphone these days.
