US network AT&T has confirmed it's planning to throttle customers who "abuse" unlimited data plans. In other words, yet another network turns unlimited into limited.
It says it'll be slowing data connection speeds for the top 5%, who, it claims, use 12 times more data than average.
The throttling will begin on October 1. Users will be warned beforehand and the move does not affect customers on tiered data plans.
