Google Maps Now Gives Public Transport Info For London

Google Maps has launched public transport information for London embedded into its website.  It also works on the service's mobile website, which is optimised for the iPhone and iPad.

There's now a bus symbol to choose when you get directions from Google Maps. Hit it and it gives you detailed journey options for bus, tube train and Dockland Light Railway services in the city with estimated travel times.

Google says this is possible because Transport for London is one of the first transport authorities in europe to make its timetable information publicly available.
