ITV says it will start charging for its TV replay service, ITV Player, from January.
The charges will apply to its web-based service, as well and its iPhone and iPad apps.
It hasn't said how it plans to charge...pay-per-view...or subscription.
But since I don't know anyone who knows anyone who uses the service, it doesn't really matter. ITV Player is a very poor man's iPlayer. It often fails to work and looks downright ugly.
Will people pay for it in its current state? Probably not that many. Perhaps only Coronation Street fans who need to keep up on the road.
