Apple Pulls Financial Times From App Store

The Financial Times iPhone and iPad apps have disappeared from the Apple App Store.

It seems Apple has got fed up with the FT ignoring its new rule that newspapers and magazines must offer in-app subscriptions, with Cupertino getting 30% of the revenue.

The FT has held out letting customers subscribe on its website, but not in-app through Apple.

The newspaper has said little about the dispute, but has made it clear it's not happy with losing out on subscribers data, which Apple would get instead.

But perhaps the FT isn't that worried about being kicked out of the App Store. In June, it launched a dedicated iPad and iPhone micro website that renders the paper perfect for reading on the iOS devices. It only needs regular FT user subscription details.
