Just a day after announcing it's pulling out of the computer and smartphone market, HP has officially discounted the price of its TouchPad tablet to $99.
According to the PreCentral website, HP has sent this message to retailers:
The company's wasting no time clearing stock. The price cut - for the 16GB model - is gradually going live at resellers. The screenshot above is BestBuy Canada and it sold out very quickly.
HP will be lowering the price of the TouchPad beginning Saturday 8/20/11. This is the lowest price ever for the TouchPad so please post it as soon as it goes live.
The Price of 32GB models is down to as low as $149.99.
So, if you want to bag a bargain, keep an eye open for price cuts to hit other retailers. What's the betting its smartphones, like the Pre 3 and Veer, go down too.
