Twitter has celebrated its fifth birthday by confirming that it now has 100-million "active users".
Quite what "active" means we don't know, but presumably it's people who use it fairly regularly. Although Twitter does say 50-million use the service at least once a day.
Interestingly, it says 40% of active users don't tweet, but simply follow people.
Facebook, which started in 2004, claims to have 750-million "active users".
