US Company Drops Legal Threat To Apple iCloud

A company in Arizona has dropped its legal action over Apple's iCloud service.

iCloud Communications was demanding Apple drops the name and also hands over a substantial pile of cash in compensation.

But it's now filed court papers withdrawing from the action.

Apple is due to launch iCloud, offering cloud syncing and storage of music, video, diary and contacts, with iOS 5.

It's not known what - if any - settlement iCloud Communications has agreed with Apple or, indeed, if the Apple police (ie lawyers) have even paid a *shudder* visit. But it's thought the company has now changed its name to Clear Digital Communications.
