A few days ago, we reported that Apple has launched a replacement programme for 1st generation iPod Nanos, from 2005-6. It's because some batteries are overheating.
Lots of owners have been going through drawers and cupboards to find their old Nanos and sending them in. Some, I dare say, were presuming they'd get the latest generation Nano in return. Surely Apple can't have a stock pile of 1st generation ones?
Well, apparently Apple does have a stockpile. Owners have started receiving their replacements and they're 1st generation. Heyho.
