Google And Samsung Confirm Volume Bug In Nexus Smartphone

Both Google and Samsung have confirmed a bug that hits volume control on their new flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The device is the first to run Google's updated Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Users have complained that the phone's earpiece volume level cuts by itself.
"Regarding the Galaxy Nexus, we are aware of the volume issue and have developed a fix," Samsung said in a statement. "We will update devices as soon as possible."
Google issued an almost identical statement.

It follows battery life problems with Apple's updated iPhone software, iOS5.  An update has been released, iOS5.0.1, but it failed to fix the bug and the company says another will be pushed out but haven't said when.
