Google Search Goes Verbatim

Google has been making a few teaks to its search methods. A major one is results will now be ranked by current popularity and not in chronological order, but there's another that's worth noting.

In the past, if you wanted to search for specific words you stuck a + before the words. This won't work any more, because the + symbol is being reserved to throw up results in Google+.

Instead, you'll have to use "verbatim".

What you do is stick your specific search words in the search box. Wait for the results to be displayed, then click "more search tools" at the bottom of the the left-hand column and select "verbatim".

Now you know.
