Nokia Admits Battery-life Problems With Lumia 800

It seems software bugs with new smartphones or OS updates are just a way of life these days.

While iPhone owners are waiting for an iOS update to stop our batteries draining at an alarming rate, spare a thought for owners of the new Windows-Phone-OS-touting Nokia Lumia 800.

Their batteries seem to be draining even faster and Nokia has now admitted there is a software problem"
"A software update in early December will include improvements to power efficiency, while a second update in early January introduces further enhancements to battery life and battery charging. Both are planned updates and will be made available via Zune. We recommend that anyone who still has concerns contact local Nokia care representatives at their earliest convenience."
And all this comes on top of Google and Samsung admitting a volume-control bug in the updated Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS on the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone.

It seems smartphone owners are being used as beta testers for software that hasn't had all the bugs ironed out before release.
