If you're already running your iOS device on a tethered jailbreak, you don't have to go through the whole jailbreak process again to make it untethered.
Head over to the Cydia app store on your jailbroken device, and download a tweak called "Corona 5.0.1 Untether". Install it and restart your device, which should then be untethered.
