"iPad 3 Photos" Show Thicker Case, Narrower Bezel

Here are the latest photos claiming to show the about-to-be released iPad 3 alongside its predecessor. The pics come from Hong Kong-based website MICgadget.

It seems the next-generation device is slightly thicker - 1-1.5mm thicker - and has more steeply tapered edges. MICgadget also reports the bezel surrounding the screen is narrower. And, to be honest, apart from that, it would be difficult for most people to tell the two apart.

So...what do we think we know about the iPad 3?

It's got a higher-resolution Retina screen, described by one person who claims to have seen it as "stunning". It will certainly have a faster processor and it could have a higher-spec camera.

It seems storage will stay the same at 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

And we expect it to be formally announced at an Apple "media event" on March 7 at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco.

Of course, none of this is yet confirmed.
