Nokia: We Made The Right Decisions With Windows Partnership

Nokia took a major decision a year ago. It announced it was abandoning its failing Symbian smartphone operating system and embracing Windows Phone OS from Microsoft to take on Apple's iOS and Google's Android.

So far, it's released three Windows OS smartphones...the budget Lumia 710, the Lumia 800 and the soon-to-be-released-in-the-UK Lumia 900.

The releases have been accompanied by a pretty aggressive - and costly - advertising campaign. And, a year on, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, says he thinks it's working:
"One year later, after making our big decisions about strategy, I am more confident than ever that we made the right decisions."
