Proview, the Taiwan-based company suing Apple over the 'iPad' trademark, is taking its battle worldwide.
The company started its fight in China and then started legal action in California. Focus Taiwan now reports that the US lawsuit has been amended to the US, the European Union, South Korea, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Proview claims it first used the name 'iPad' and was bullied into selling the trademark for $55,000 to a British company that it only realised later was, in fact, owned by Apple and, it's claimed, had been set up specifically to get the 'iPad' name.
