It's reported that Google is planning to launch its own branded tablet to take on Apple's iPad and Amazon's Kindle Fire.
The Wall Street Journal is quoting sources saying the tablet will be branded Google Nexus. The hardware will be manufactured by either Samsung or Asus and it will, of course, be loaded with Google's own Android operating system.
It's also claimed Google will set up an on-line store to sell the device. The company did this a couple of years ago to sell a Google Nexus-branded smartphone, made by HTC. The on-line store shut down quickly amid complaints of a difficult ordering process and late deliveries.
