T-Mobile To Increase Contract Charges - Even For Existing Customers

UK carrier T-Mobile has announced a price hike for contract customers. Monthly charges will go up by 3.7% from May 9.

It's the biggest increase the company's terms and conditions will permit: it equals the Retail Price Index figure for February this year.

The increase will hit all pay-monthly customers who signed up to their current contract before February 1 this year. The company says call, text and data rates outside contract will stay the same. It means, for example, a £30 contract will go up to £31.10.

T-Mobile's sister company, Orange, increased its contract prices late last year with a rise of 4.34%. Both are part of the Everything Everywhere group.
