Orange And T-Mobile Launch "Seamless" 3G Switching

UK networks Orange and T-Mobile have launched the final stage of their 3G sharing scheme.

Parent company, Everything Everywhere, says it means customers of one network can now roam seamlessly on the 3G data network of the other.

The sharing has been going on for sometime, but users have complained that often the 3G signal is dropped during roaming. That should now be fixed.

It means, for example, that Orange customers will lop onto a T-Mobile 3G signal with no cut-out if it's the strongest and vice-versa.

The sharing will happen automatically and need no sign-up. It's the final stage of Everything Everywhere's merger of the two networks.
