June Brings Pay Bonanza And Bonuses For Apple Store Staff

No wonder they're smiling. June is proving to be a good month for Apple Retail Store employees.

They're getting an early pay rise, brought forward from September. They already knew that, but the size has taken some by surprise. The increases are up to 25%, depending on a complicated formula involving store and individual productivity.

The workers are also getting a $500 (or equivalent) discount on Apple products on top of the usual staff discount of 25%. The Mac Mini and the new Retina-display MacBook Pro are excluded from the discount deal which becomes available to staff who've completed their 90-day probation period but can only be used once every three years.

Apple stores produce more profit per square foot than any other High Street chain.
