Microsoft is trying to placate Nokia Lumia smartphone owners angry they won't be getting the next major Windows Phone OS update.
WP8, due out in the autumn, will only be for new devices with more powerful dual-core processors and removable storage cards.
Now Microsoft has issued a statement saying an incremental update to WP7.8 will be rolling out soon for all current Lumia smartphones bringing tethering as well as some other WP8 features including a new homescreen with sizeable tiles.
