Apple Releases OS X Mountain Lion Today

All we were missing was the date...and now we have it. Apple is releasing OS X Mountain Lion today.

The update for the operating system for Mac desktops and laptops will cost £13.99/$19.99 and will be a download from the Mac App Store.

Mountain Lion will further integrate Apple's iOS devices with OS X and will give more iCloud functions.

If all goes true to form, we expect the update to appear in the app store about 6pm UK time.

The update will work on the following machines:
  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)

Here are all the details.
