Apple's PR department is working overtime. First it was the Wall Street Journal that quoted "sources" saying Cupertino is planning an iPad Mini. Then Bloomberg got a slice of the spin with a date. Well, sort of a date. September-ish.
And now Cupertino is being nice to the New York Times with a leak that says, well, not much more. There's going to be a smaller and "substantially less expensive" iPad in the Autumn. Probably 7.8-inches.
But why all this leaking?
Oh yes, Google is launching its 7-inch Nexus tablet that's getting rave reviews from tech journos. And Apple wants us to wait until its offering is out later this year.
