You'd be excused for thinking they'd discovered penicillin. But they didn't. Instead, Microsoft has released Windows Phone 8. Although still no mention of Windows Phone 7.8 for current phone owners...we have messaged the Windows Phone press office, but no reply yet.
Anyway, at the WP8 launch event in San Francisco, the company's Windows Phone vice-president, Joe Belfiore, brought out his three children onto the stage to demo features.
