EE 4G officially launches Tuesday with huge rebranding operation

Tuesday, October 30, is official launch day of the UK's first 4G network. Orange and T-Mobile have merged into Everything Everywhere, which will be known as EE.

Already, customers are seeing EE on their phone screens where Orange and T-Mobile used to be.

The faster 4G network will initially cover 11 cities: London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Southampton and Glasgow.

The company will add Belfast, Derby, Newcastle, Hull and Nottingham by Christmas.

You'll have to pay for it - and it's not cheap - and have a 4G enabled device.

The company is also hard at work rebranding 700 stores throughout the UK, with its flagship Oxford Street, London, shop opening on Tuesday.

And to keep you on your toes, the stores will still be selling phones on Orange and T-Mobile price plans, although anything 4G will be EE labeled.

Confused? Of course not.
