Microsoft admits Windows Phone 8 reboot bug, promises fix in December

Microsoft has admitted there's a bug in Windows Phone 8 that causes random reboots.

There have been increasing reports from owners of new WP8 devices that their phones unexpectedly shut down and restart up to half a dozen times a day. See our story here.
“We’re continuing to investigate some reports of phones rebooting and have identified a cause with our partners,” Microsoft said in a statement to AllThingsD. “We are working to get an over-the-air update out in December.”
The fault appears to mainly affect Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X phones. Many owners are reporting no problems at all and it's not clear what percentage of devices are affected.

Microsoft hasn't detailed what it believes the cause of the bug is...or exactly how it plans to fix it.
