Windows Phone 7 and 8 have built-in music recognition software.
Open Bing search by pressing the Search hardware button, hit the music note icon at the bottom of the screen and point your phone to some music that's playing.
The music should be identified within 15 seconds. You'll be given info about the song...and the option to buy it and download it from the Microsoft Store.
It seems to work pretty well. But it's good fun trying to stump it.
