Nokia starts to roll out WP8 'Portico' update for Lumia 920 and 820 with camera fix

Nokia has started to push out the 'Portico' update for its Windows Phone 8 devices, the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820.

The update is available over-the-air for AT&T and T-Mobile users in the US.

But WPCentral is reporting that owners elsewhere may have to wait until February next year:
Nokia is working with carrier partners to make sure the experience is top notch and that there are no issues when installing the update, resulting in damaged or sub-optimal performance. Of course schedules can change and unbranded devices may get it earlier than carrier-supported ones.
The Portico update brings the option for always-on WiFi connection and SMS enhancements, including rejecting a call with a text message.

It's also aimed at fixing a bug that was causing some devices to randomly reboot.

The update was pushed out earlier this week for factory-unlocked HTC 8X devices.

Nokia is also including a firmware update to fix daylight photos taken on the Lumia 920 coming out fuzzy. It also includes new settings to make the 920's screen super bright for use in sunlight and to automatically dim the screen when the phone is in "batter saving" mode.

But, it seems like this update will take months to reach the owners of all WP8 devices on all networks.
