If you find searching for a contact to call in Windows Phone a bit cumbersome, give the excellent People Search app a go.
The app simulates the old T9 method to narrow down contacts lists by tapping keys...and the app has just been updated.
It now includes an option for a high-resolution keyboard, which makes it easier to see in sunshine, and it now has speed dials. You can set each number on the keypad to tap-and-hold for a favourite contact to make it faster to call or message them.
The app also includes a function to send full contact details to others by email, SMS or QR barcode.
Now is a good time to give it a try...there's a free trial version of the updated app in the Windows Phone Store. The usual cost is 79p/99c.
