Microsoft offers $100 for new Windows Phone apps

Microsoft is stepping up its efforts to boost the Windows Phone Store by offering developers $100 for new apps.

The cash will be paid when an app is approved up to a maximum of 10 apps. Developers are also being offered the same deal for Windows 8 apps. So it could mean a maximum of $2,000 developer cashback with a closing date for submissions of June 30.

For some reason, Microsoft has decided to limit the offer to developers with addresses in the US.

While Microsoft is desperate to boost the number of apps in the WP Store, critics have warned of the danger of quantity over quality.

Here's the link for developers to claim their money.
