We wanted Instagram and Facebook. We got Pandora and Temple Run

I don't know about you but I got quite excited when Windows Phone boss Joe Belfiore teased us with his "been wondering what's on my phone" tweet.

A week of good, heavyweight new apps...just what the Windows Phone Store needs. Surely there'll be a decent Facebook app,  even one developed by Facebook itself. And Instagram. He must mean Instagram is at last coming to Windows Phone. Or at least an update for Viber.  Or perhaps it's something completely new that Android and iOS doesn't already have.

And what have we got?

Pandora and a few (mostly) aged games like the original (two-year-old) Temple Run.

While Pandora is something of a heavyweight, we already knew it was coming because Microsoft told us last year when it officially unveiled Windows Phone 8. So no big surprise there.

And there've been two updates to Temple Run since the original came out. Neither are on Windows Phone.

And certainly no sign of Instagram or a new slick Facebook app.

Joe's Big App Week has been somewhat underwhelming. Especially after all the teasing.
