The third-party Instagram client for Windows Phone 8, Itsdagram, is getting a name change just weeks after release. And it looks very much like it's been forced by Instagram's lawyers no doubt threatening dreadful things.
Itsdagram has proved hugely popular. It lets users post to and interact with the Instagram photo sharing service, which has failed to release its own app for WP despite having apps for iOS and Android.
But Itsdagram was threatened with removal from the Windows Phone Store unless it changes its name.
The guys at Windows Phone Central organised a poll and the shortlist included Livegram, Lensa for Instagram (yes, that would have been allowed), Spry for Instagram and our particular favourite Pseudogram.
But the winner - with 31% of the vote - is Instance.
If you've already downloaded Itsdagram - it costs £1.29 or free with ads - it will be updated soon with the new branding.
