How to install other manufacturers' exclusive apps on your Windows phone

Windows phone manufacturers each have their own exclusive apps with Nokia leading in terms of numbers.

Here's a way of getting access to other manufacturers' apps in the Windows Phone Store.

It also show up device-specific apps....for example Nokia's excellent Pro Cam app is currently only officially available for the Lumia 1020, 920, 928 and 925. This tick makes it available to all devices, although remember it needs the Nokia Amber firmware update to work.

1. Change your phone region to United States

2. Connect to a WiFi network

3. Under Settings - WiFi, click on the WiFi network you are connected to

4. Switch 'Proxy' to on. Now type "117.135.139.179" into "Server/URL". In "Port", type in "8888", then click on the tick at the bottom of the screen

7. Go to the Store and click on 'Nokia Collection' and you should see all the exclusive apps from Nokia, HTC and Samsung.

8. Turn Proxy off, set your phone region back to normal, and Restart.

And don't forget that last one.
