Microsoft apologies to Apple after pulling anti-iPhone ads

Microsoft has become (fairly) well known for producing anti-Apple ads...and some of them have been (fairly) effective.

But even Redmond has had to admit its latest jibes didn't work.

They appeared on the internet soon after Apple announced the iPhone 5C and tried to make fun of the devices and their plastic housing.

One of the videos showed Apple employees pitching the 5C design idea to someone who - from behind - looks very much like Steve Jobs.

Bad taste or what.

Microsoft pulled the videos and has now released a statement to CNET:
The campaign "was intended to be a lighthearted poke at our friends from Cupertino. But it was off the mark, and we've decided to pull it down," a Microsoft representative told CNET.
They may have been pulled by Microsoft, but we all know nothing every totally disappears from the internet.

So, here's one of the videos for you to make your mind up.
