Nokia Camera app released...combining Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam

Along with all the other software - and hardware - unveiled today by Nokia is a new photography app called Nokia Camera.

It comes as an update to Nokia Pro Cam and it appears it is only available to higher-end devices - the Lumia 920 and above.

It merges the old Pro Cam app with Nokia Smart Cam, which is available for all Lumias.

But because it's a Pro Cam update, owners of lower-end Lumias can't get it. We've tried the proxy method used by some lower-end Lumia owners to get Pro Cam, but can't get it to work. Bah!

Nokia Camera combines all the best features of Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam into one amazing app.
 
The auto mode makes it easy for anyone to capture great images with ease, and provides quick access to sport and night controls. And when you want to create that perfect composition, manual mode offers controls for exposure, shutter speed, ISO, white balance and focus.
 
There's also smart mode, which shoots a sequence of photos that can be combined in different ways. Try emphasizing motion, removing moving objects or showing action with a strobe effect. You can also change faces in group shots so everyone will have their eyes open.
 
Original versions are stored, so you can zoom, reframe and edit your photos long after you took them.
