Official Instagram app lands on Windows Phone 8...but it's beta and no video sharing yet

If Windows Phone has a Holy Grail, it's got to be Instagram. And the photo-sharing app that's used by 150-million people on Apple and Android devices has now - finally - arrived in the Windows Phone Store.

Well, it's arrived but it's beta so we're presuming - and hoping - it's not the finished product.

It lets you filter and share photos...and even take photos within the app using your phone camera. But there's no video uploading and no tagging.

But we mustn't be killjoys. So...rejoice. Windows Phone - or WP8 to be precise - now has an official Instagram (albeit beta) app. Windows Phone has come of age.
