Tesco Mobile is now offering 4G LTE for free for new and current customers. It was charging an extra £2.50 on top of 3G prices but has now scrapped the surcharge.
No doubt the virtual network, which runs on O2, is aware of the popularity of 3's offerings of a free 4G upgrade.
Other networks are still sticking with charging more.
If you're a Tesco Mobile customer, have a 4G handset and live in a 4G area, you can from today ask for a 4G SIM. At the moment it's for contract customers only, but Tesco says PAYG will follow in weeks.
