Microsoft to rebrand SkyDrive to OneDrive after BSkyB legal victory

Microsoft has confirmed that its cloud-storage system SkyDrive is to be rebranded as OneDrive.

It follows a court victory in London last year by UK satellite TV company BSkyB, which claimed Microsoft had infringed copyright on the name Sky.

Microsoft decided not to appeal and has now announced the name change.

It says the changes will happen "soon" and promises it will "represent its vision of the future" and other marketing bullshit. The truth is Microsoft must be pretty fed up it's been forced to rebrand.
