Nokia's Android Normandy pics turn up in China

Everyone...meet Nokia's first Android smart(ish) phone, the Normandy.

Well, that's the codename anyway and this pic has turned up on a social networking site in China.

It's widely known the Finns have been testing a phone running Android, but what isn't known is if it will be released before the Microsoft takeover of Nokia's mobile division is signed and sealed later this year.

Because, you can be sure Microsoft won't be releasing it after.

It's thought the Normandy is running a cut-down version of Android, with no app store. So, what you get when you buy it is what stays. It's like a stepping stone between Nokia's Asha range of feature phones and the Lumia smart phones.

The photo looks genuine: the protective cover is similar to ones used by Nokia employees testing new hardware.
