Chronos Calendar for Windows Phone comes out top with major update

There are now several good calendar apps for Windows Phone but none of the others quite match the style and functions of newly-updated Chronos Calendar.

The app - for both WP8 and WP7.x - has always been streets ahead in functionality, including syncing with Google, Microsoft or the WP in-built calendar.

Now it's also streets ahead with design for the main calendar and live tiles.

The calendar and live tiles are highly customisable. There are dozens of preset designs and the user can also select colour choices and tweaks with almost limitless possibilities.

Another nice touch is tapping and holding the calendar window brings up a menu of options like Move, Copy, Delete and Add a new event. It's even possible to share calendar events by SMS or email or dial a number contained in a diary entry.

The features of Chronos Calendar are multiple and sophisticated as you can find out for yourself because the app has a free trial with a purchase price of £1.49/$1.99, less than some of the alternatives.
