Facebook scraps email service because no-one is using it

Facebook is to pull its @facebook.com email service which was launched less than four years ago.

Why?

"We're making this change because most people haven't been using their Facebook email address," said a Facebook spokesperson.

Fair enough.

The service will be shut down in March and from now on anyone (there must be one) using an @facebook.com address will get their emails forwarded to the email address they used to register with Facebook.
