Microsoft makes it easier for manufacturers to load Android phones with WP8

Microsoft is relaxing the hardware requirements needed to run Windows Phone operating system. The changes will come with the release this Spring of WP8.1.

Basically, it means manufacturers can use the same handsets to run either Android or Windows Phone.

Redmond hopes this will persuade partner companies (OEMs) to release Windows Phone versions of Android devices.
