Confusion over free £120 wireless bundle with Nokia Lumia 930

There seems to be confusion surrounding the heavily-advertised £120 "wireless kit" that Microsoft is giving away with the new Nokia Lumie 930 in the UK.

The phone was officially released in the UK this week and the free bundle includes a bluetooth speaker, a portable wireless charger plate and a voucher for £20 to spend in the Windows Phone Store on apps.

But how you get the kit seems hit or miss.

Some in-store customers are being given them with their phones and some customers are being told the kit is only for contract customers and not people buying simfree or prepay devices.

And on-line, it's even more confusing, with customers being told wrongly the kit will arrive with their phones and others that - again - it's only for contract customers.

In fact, according to Microsoft, the free bundle is for everyone - contract, simfree and prepay.

If you didn't get the freebies with your phone, there's a website where you can log your phone's IMEI details and order the bundle to be sent by post, with Nokia promising delivery within 28 days.

It all seems badly organised and confusing for customers. It also seems to be confusing retailers and Nokia support staff.

Here's a link to the Nokia website to claim your free kit.

Update: And now...to add to the confusion...UK retailer Carphone Warehouse says the free bundles are only for contract customers.

Now giving this message - "Sorry there are no more wireless kits available. We hope you enjoy your Nokia Lumia 930 and wireless charger." 5 days in to the promotion?? When it doesn't say anywhere "while stocks last?"
