Do Preview for Developers users still have to roll back to go forward to Cyan?

We've been inundated with messages about the Lumia Cyan firmware update. Well, about a dozen messages have snowed us in. But we'll bravely dig our way out and gladly provide answers.

Actually, there's only one answer because there was only one question. A dozen messages and all asking the same thing.

If you're running a Lumia phone updated to Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers will you get the Nokia Lumia Cyan firmware update?

The answer is no and not for the foreseeable future.

A bug that buggered Bitlocker still hasn't been fixed and Microsoft is still seeing fit to stop the Lumia update for PoD phones.

So you still have to go through the rigmarole of rolling back and then updating to Cyan. Here's how you do it.

It's a simple and painless procedure, as the people in white coats always say, and will take a couple of hours, but you don't have to stare at that progress bar on your phone the whole time, although you can if you want. We do.

And there's no indication from Microsoft about when the bug will be fixed, but Preview for Developers users have always been warned they're dealing in the world of beta and beta bugs can happen.
