Microsoft teases Lumia 730 "selfie phone" with September 4 launch

Microsoft has sent out invitations to a Press event at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin on September 4.

The O in the word more on the invitation could be a clue to the subject matter.

Looks like a front-facing camera.

Yup...we're betting the event is to unveil the Lumia 730, so-called "selfie phone".

The 730 will be the successor to the 720 but will have a 5MP front camera and a slightly more powerful back camera.

There'll be 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, and a slot for a microSD card. It's expected to have a 4.7" screen but no dedicated camera button. And it'll come in the usual Lumia bright colours.

It may also be the first Lumia branded Microsoft...or Nokia by Microsoft...or Lumia by Microsoft...or whatever Redmond has decided to call itself.

There's also speculation that a Lumia 830 could be announced. Leaks have claimed it has an aluminium frame and plastic back.
