Microsoft boss Satya Nadella will return for more at next year's women's conference.

It's been a steep learning curve week for Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

He agreed to be interviewed on stage at a conference in the US about women working in the tech industry and he well and truly put his foot in it.

He told delegates who believed they weren't being paid as much as men doing the same job that they should trust in "karma" and the corporate system to put things right rather than - god forbid - ask for a pay rise.

Later he tweeted that he'd been "inarticulate".

Then the mighty Microsoft PR machine swung into action and he issued an abject apology in an email sent to all MS staff.

Well, he's now agreed to return to the same conference next year, according to his interviewer, Maria Kalwe, who happens to be a Microsoft Board member.
"It has changed him, he's learned something," Klawe said in an interview. "He's going to keep on learning. He will be much more knowledgable about women's issues by the time he comes back here next year."
I bet he will.
