Microsoft to release first non-Nokia branded Lumia next week, probably the 535

Microsoft is teasing the release of a new Lumia smartphone. The date for unveiling is Tuesday, November 11...and it looks like being the first to be branded a Microsoft Lumia, dropping the Nokia branding.

Microsoft only bought the rights to the Nokia name for smartphones for two years when it took over the Finnish company's mobile phone division.

There are no more official details about next week's unveiling, but it's expected to be a low-end Microsoft Lumia 535, which has already been leaked.

The 535 is expected to have a large 5" screen, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor.

We also expect a five megapixel main camera with a VGA front camera and a variety of colourful shells.
