An increasing number of Windows Phone users are complaining about failed backups.
WP has one of the most advanced backup procedures of all operating systems.
The backup that means your phone restores everything seamlessly if you hard reset is Settings>Backup>Apps+Settings.
But what seems like an increasing number of WP owners claim their backups, which can be set to automatic, are failing and throwing up an error message saying backup was unable to complete.
And it seems the fail usually happens at 69%.
There's some evidence that the backups do, in fact, complete despite the error message and will restore your phone successfully.
It's also claimed that deleting previous backups - Settings > Backup > Apps+Settings > Manage Backups - can cure the problem.
So far, Microsoft hasn't acknowledged the problem, let alone fixed it.
